Iowa Telecom iToolbox

iToolbox from Iowa Telecom is available for Dial-up and DSL Internet users running Microsoft Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP. iToolbox is not compatible with Macintosh operating systems. iToolbox includes firewall protection that will help keep your computer safe from hackers and potential Internet viruses and worms. It includes web accelerator to speed your surfing up to 5 times faster than it is today. Plus, ad blocker will eliminate those annoying pop-ups and ads that clutter your screen and slow you down. You can restrict visits to certain websites, such as adult content and other harmful websites, from your computer. With the web review feature, you can see a list of websites that were visited from your computer in a detailed history report that includes the date and time of pages that were viewed. You can even view the actual web pages visited.

Step 1. Important!

Iowa Telecom recommends that you check your computer's compatibility for iToolbox before you begin the 3 easy steps below. The compatibility check will run a quick diagnostic assessment of your computer to determine if there are any items (spyware, viruses, adware, etc.) that might stop the iToolbox installation process. Select the button below to run the compatibility check. (The test only works on computers running Microsoft Windows.)

If your computer is compatible, continue on with step 2 below.

Step 2. Register With Iowa Telecom

To begin your online registration with Iowa Telecom, type in your Iowa Telecom username and password below. This lets Iowa Telecom know you want this speedy service.
After you login, please return to this page to complete steps 2 and 3.

Enter your user name and password to start your iToolbox subscription today.

Step 3. Download iToolbox software to your computer.

After you have completed Step 1, you will need to do a simple download of iToolbox to your computer. To begin the download, click here.

Step 4. Configure Your iToolbox Service.

Now you’re ready to decide your iToolbox preferences. After you have completed Step 2, you can configure iToolbox features to meet your specific needs. You can:

Change the image quality of web site photos and ads to best fit your surfing needs. Select a higher resolution for images that are important to you; or a lower resolution if you plan to surf a lot of new sites and you want to move fast.
Turn the iToolbox functionality on or off, again depending on your surfing needs.
Control the ad blocker features.
