Want to have a family reunion, a bridal shower, a graduation reception, Thanksgiving or Christmas Party? Come enjoy the benefits of these two centers. Full kitchens and seating for 50 people in on and 100 people in the other. Two sessions are available 10:00 - 4:30 or 5:00 - 11:00 p.m. The cost is $60 per session for the Monet Center and $75 for the Community Center. There is a $50 key deposit refundable upon return of the key. Call 479-2464 to make reservations! PARK AND REC MEETING MINUTES

THURSDAY, AUGUST 6, 2009

7:00 PM AT THE MONET CENTER

 

Meeting started at 7:00

Those whom attended the meeting were Lee Brant, Bill Leytham, Amy Weeks, Renee Ulery-Ascencio.

Discussed:

            Setting other park bench up by the Ample Theater

            Painting band shell

            Filling holes with dirt

            Finding a new electric outlet

            Replacing broken lights

Lee is investigating buying a gate to go across the band shell stage.

Bill will be removing the lights in the band shell after pioneer days, due to children breaking them.

Amy Weeks was to order 2 new swings for the swing sets and 2 volleyball nets.

LEAP purchased a tether ball for the tetherball pole for Pioneer Days celebration. This will be removed after the event.

Amy Weeks spoke on how she would like to work more with Parks and Rec.

Cleaning in the center has been looking better, but more improvements are still needed. We will be adding a check out time on cleaning check list so we can see how long it is taking to clean.

Lee would like to see the grills replaced at the park , they are in bad shape.

Renee commented that she would send out a email to remind Park and Rec members about monthly meetings.

Would like to talk to our INS carrier about security on vandalism. Also, check on grants that might be out their on this.(Fence)
