Here at PM Stables I fully monitor what your horse is eating, just like my two mares. With that in mind, since all the horses live together in a small managed herd, it is very important that all the horses remain healthy. Thus I have a daily routine of feeding where all the horses are fed twice a day. Each horse gets an individual maintenance serving of 12% Purina sweet feed (optional) and a measured amount of hay. I base those amounts on the condition of each horse and how much work each horse gets. In addition (as far as hay) it includes how much time the horses have daily access to the main pasture during the growing months. What all this means to you, is knowing your horse is fully cared for and is fed regularly on a twice daily basis WITHOUT you having to be here every single day! All of those services are INCLUDED in your regular monthly boarding fee. Yep, that includes the grain.
One advantage to having a regular daily feeding of grain (even if just a small amount) is that it is good for your horse's health and also makes it much more easy if your horse needs occasional additives or medication added to his feed. Plus with a daily routine mentioned above, your horse is actually handled and managed at least twice daily giving me a chance to monitor any symptoms of a health condition. Again, your horse gets looked after just as if it were one of mine daily! In addition I can mix supplements, administer medical supplements, or even feed a specific type of grain (as in Senior Feed) as needed for a small additional charge. Certainly You know your horses' needs the best, so I'll be happy to customize whatever individual feeding program you desire for your horse.
Since I consider the health of your horse paramount in the operations at PM Stables, I also maintain a complete health record on each horse here. All horses boarded here are subject to regular de-worming and annual immunization schedules as well as hoof care. Not only does this promote your own horse's health, it also protects the other horses living here. Whether you use your own vet and farrier, administer yourself, or use the services of my contracted vet and farrier, the main goal is that all the horses remain current with their healthcare thus protecting the health and well being of your horse as well as the rest of the horses. I'll be happy to share the details of the healthcare program in more detail upon meeting with you. As you can see, you get Full Personal Service in the care of your horse here at PM Stables!
